Judge rules Lincoln signatures are valid
An Illinois judge ruled that the darling of the Labrador Party will be on the ballot in the Chicago mayor race, despite attempts to send him back to his kennel.
Lincoln, the first canine to run for mayor of Chicago survived a challenge to his nominating petitions when the Chicago Elections Board Judge, Basset Hound ruled that the dog and cat paw-prints are valid forms of signatures. Also, the nearly 4,000 paw-prints collected by the unnamed stray dog will be counted. But, he did rule that the squirrel and rabbit prints were invalid.
