Chicago - Candidate Lincoln who is running for mayor is criticizing Mayor Daley’s parking meters deal, even though his candidacy is endorsed by Daley.
Lincoln said the deal to privatize them did not work, called the deal painful.
"When I am elected mayor, I'm going to get this deal reversed. I'm going to get the old meters back and provide suitable potty locations for the dogs of Chicago. How are we going to do it? By any means necessary," Lincoln snarled.
Lincoln plans to join a pair of lawsuits seeking to void the meter deal. He said he would then replace the meter boxes with the old style meters every 10 feet to help canines with their #1 business.
"This is just wrong," Lincoln growled. "They removed thousands and thousands of perfectly good meters and replace them with those very difficult to locate boxes. We have to hold it for quite awhile. It's painful," howled Lincoln.
Daley is defending his meter boxes. He said the dogs have other options - trees, bushes, fences and even the grass.
